DEFENCE BILL INTRODUCED. LIMIT ON DURATION OF ACT. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 13. Temporary suspension of the obligation to undergo military training in New Zealand is provided for by the Defence Amendment Bill which was introduced this afternoon. The measure preserves the authority to train persons who may voluntarily submit themselves for training, and special provision is incorporated for recognition of the establishment of voluntary organisations for military training and contains power to make controlling regulations. The duration of lire Act is limited to August 1, 1931.
