PARTY AT NURSES’ HOME.
Present and past members of the nursing, profession, and representatives of the various women's organisations were entertained by the Mahawatu branch of the Trained Nurses’ Association at a delightful party at the Nurses’ Home last evening. A pleasant time was spent with bridge, euchre and competitions, while supper was served. The prizes were presented by Miss McGlne, matron of the hospital, as follow: —Bridge, Mrs Coombs 1, Mrs S. Traslc 2, Miss Cunninglramo, consolation; euchre, Mrs Sliaw 1, Miss Gcdney, consolation; Mary Ann competition, Miss C. Smith 1 Miss McLagun consolation; nursery rliymes, Miss Horner 1, Mrs Aitcliison consolation. During the evening Misses Wehipeihana and ivvikau delighted the company with a duet, the latter also contributing a yxii dance. The accompaniments were played by Miss Campbell.
