STOWAWAYS FOUND.
Received August 12, 10.5 a.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 12. A stowaway was discovered on the Waikouaiti, outward bound from Sydney for New Zealand, seven miles out. The vessel returned to port and the stowaway was landed. On the arrival of the Ivawatiri at Newcastle, from Wellington, five stowaways were handed over to the police. They were each fined £2 and ordered to pay £7 10s fare.
