CHARGE OF THEFT.
A YOUTH’S LAPSE. Charged with the theft- of £3, the property of Owen Jones, at Kauwhata on June 26, Charles Edward Fuller, a farm labourer, aged 20, appeared before Alessrs. W. F. Durward and T. R. Lees, J.P.’s, in the Police Court today. Accused pleaded guilty. Senior-Sergeant Whitehouse stated that, assailed by temptation in the absence of his employer, accused had extracted the cash from a money-box. Accused had had a hard life, both his parents being dead. Nothing was previously known against him. He liad no relatives. Accused was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within twelve months.
