In the Davis Cup inter-zone final, Lott (U-S.A.) beat Stefani (Italy) 6—3, 6—l, 6—3. De Morpurgo (Italy) beat Allison (U.S.A.) 7—5, 6—2, 5—7, 6-^. The United States thus won the m-ter-zone final by four matches to one and now meets France in the challenge sound for the cup.
