THE MANAWATU-OROUA RIVER DISTRICT LOAN FOR SEPARATE AREA NO. 1. ADOPTING RESOLUTION OF , SPECIAL ORDER. NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to the provisions of the River Boards Act, 1908, and the Mana-watu-Oroua River District Act, 1923, and its amendments the following resolution will be moved at a meeting or the Manawatu-Oroua River Board to be held at the Board’s Office, 47a Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North on Thursday, the 24th day of July, 1930, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon. “That the Manawatu-Oroua River Board pursuant to the provisions of the River Boards Act, 1908, the Mana-watu-Oroua River Board District Act, 1923, the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and their respective Amendments, and of all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, and in pursuance of the consent of the Gov-ernor-General in Council given by Order-in-Council made pursuant to tho Provisions of the Local Government nans Board Act, 192.6, dated the Thirty-first day or March, 1930, and gazetted in tho New Zealand Gazette of the Third day of April, 1930, Number 25 at page 992, and in exercise ot the powers conferred by requisition served on the Board by the ratepayers under Section 6of the ManawatuOroua River Board District Amendment Act, 1929, such requisition being dated the 10th day of January, 1930, doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order:— . ... 1. That a Special Loan of Nine hundred and fifty pounds (£950) to be known as “The Manawatu-Oroua River District (No. 1 Separate Area Loan, 1930”) be raised by the ManawatuOroua River Board for the purpose of carrying out flood protection works on river in special area being part of the River Board scheme of flood control ot Manawatu River. 2. That the rate of interest payable in respect of the said Special Loan shall not exceed Six pounds (£6) per centum per annum payable half-yearly during the currency of the said Special Loan being a period not exceeding Twenty (20) years from the 24th day of July, 1930. „ ml 3. That a sinking fund of Three pounds (£3) per centum per annum be established in -connection with tho said Special Loan. 4. That the security for IHo interest and sinking fund and repayment of the said Special Loan be a special rate of One shilling and twopence (Is 2d) per acre made and levied on all rateable property of the No. 1 Separate Area of the Manawatu-Oroua River Board District comprising:— . . Part of Aratangata 2A containing 30 acres; part of Aratangata 2B containing 75 acres; part of Aratangata 3 containing 46 acres; parts of Aratangata 4, 490 acres; part Lot 5 D.P. 6290 of subdivision; part Aratangata 4 block and Patekauwau block and lot 3 part Ohinekakeao No. 2 containing 180 acres; part Ohinekakeao No. 2 as shown on D.P. 6103 (containing 105 acres 3 roods 13 perches) and also parts lots 2.3, 4 on D.P. 4138 of part No. 1 Ohinekakeao ' and parts 1 and 2 Oparkete containing 590 acres part of lot 2 of Ohinekakeao No. 2 containing 75 acres; part Jot 4 D.P. 4297 being part Manawatu Kukutauaki 7 D. 1., Noe. 7 and 8 and 7 D. 3 and parts Takapau No. 1 and 2 containing 17 acres, lot 5 D.P. 4297 containing 50 acres, lot 13 D.P. 4297 containing 2 acres; part lot 6 D.P. 4297 containing 25 acres; part subdivision 3 Akatarawa Block and part lot 4 D.P. 9133 of Block IX. Mt. Robinson S.D. containing 46 acres, Opaekeke No. 6 containing 5 acres. As the said Separate Area No. 1 is shown on the map of the Moutere and the Mt. Robinson Survey Districts signed by F. C. Hay, Civil Engineer and deposited in the Board’s Office and therein coloured green. 5. That no portion of such interest or sinking fund be paid out of such loan moneys.” .
