PERSISTENT RUMOURS.
WILL BRITAIN PURCHASE GREENLAND ? YVASHINGTON, July .18. While there is no official confirmation of any actual negotiations, diplomatic and official circles are exhibiting keen interest in persistent rumours that Britain is seeking to purchase Greenland from Denmark, in whole or in part. It is recognised that Greenland will have an important bearing on the proposed British Arctic air route.
