BRITISH BY-ELECTION.
Received May 19, 10.5 a.m. LONDON, May 18. The Nottingham Central by-election nominations are: A. E. Waterson (Labour), T. J. O’Connor (Conservative) and Captain R. C- Berkeley (Liberal). The polling will take place on May 28. Safeguarding will be the main issue of the campaign. At the general election the voting was:—Sir A. J. Bennett (C.), 14,571 Mrs E. Barton (Lab.), 11,573; A. Brampton (L.), 8738.
