LODGE MEETING. (From Our Own Correspondent). BULLS, May 17. The regular fortnightly meeting of Rangitikei Lodge, No. 14, 1.0.0. F., was hold on Thursday evening, P.G. Bro. Petersen presiding over a good attendance of members. Correspondence was road as follows: — From Whanganui Rebekah Lodge, an invitation to attend a social evening on the occasion of the Grand Master’s visit on May 29. From Grand Lodge, enclosing quarterly circular and minutes of meeting held in Palmerston North. Hall improvements.—lt was resolved to obtain a price for painting the hall roof; ridging and spouting also to be attended to. The Active Service Cadets applied for the use of the hall on May 30. —Tho application was granted. The Manchester Unity 1.0.0. F. Lodge applied for use of tho key to the lodge room. —Application granted, P.G. Bro. Forbes being responsible for its safo keeping. Cards. —It was resolved to issue a challenge for the Mathieson Shield, also to hold a series of euchre parties after tho meetings for six nights. Committeo. —The following were appointed : The N.G., V.G., P.G. Bros. L. Hill and Forbes, and Bro. O’Connell. A visiting member from Awarua Lodge conveyed fraternal greetings to this lodge. The Manchester Unity Lodge applied for tho use of the hall for a dance on May 22.—Granted. BULLS TENNIS CLUB. Members of tho Bulls Tennis Club met on the courts on Wednesday afternoon, when the president (Mr G. L>. Flower) handed to two members, Mr and Mrs D. McKenzie, a set-of carvers, and at the same time wished the newly married couple all the joys of married life. Mr Flower spoke of the good work which they iiud done in the interests of the Tonns Club, particularly Mr McKenzie’s interest in running the annual ball, and conveyed to tnern tno best wishes of fellow members. RANGITIKEI DAIRY COY. The directors of the Rangitikei Dairy Coy , Ltd., hate decided to pay suppliers is a pound tor April supply of butter-fat. i'his rate compares favourably with that being paid out by other factories in the district. |
