COLLISION WITH TRAIN.
GROCER’S VAN SMASHED. Per Press Association. HAWERA, May 19. A grocer’s delivery van was badly smashed at the High Street level crossing on Saturday evening in a collision with an incoming slow train from the south. The driver of the van escaped injury. CAR OVERTURNS. The second accident, arising out of the first, occurred at the same spot shortly afterwards, when a car coming out of a side street collided with a stationary car parked close to the scene of the first accident. The moving car was overturned, but the three occupants escaped injury.
