WILLARD HOME ANNIVERSARY APPEAL.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—AVe would remind the many interested friends that tho anniversary function of the Willard Home will be held next Wednesday afternoon, May 21st. The board of management take this opportunity of thanking all those who have so generously helped them in the care and the support of the needy children. Of our largo family thirteen are entirely dependent upon the board, and in their interest we again appeal to the many friends for their sympathetic interest and practical help. The board is particularly fortunate in its staff who, by their devotion and efficiency, are training and fitting these children to take their place as good citizens. The winter is before us and the needs are many and urgent. Firewood and coke would be most acceptable, and other requirements for the house are as follow:—Single sheets, pillows and pillow cases, bath, towels, hearthrug (for children’s play room), crockery, enamel pie dishes, plates, mugs, scrub brushes, sweeping brushes, jam, groceries, 26ft single beds complete, etc. AVe leave with you the appeal of little children and thank you in anticipation.—AVe are, etc., E. A. COLLINS, President. E. BIRDSALL, Secretary. Palmerston North, May 17, 1930.
