GOLF. (Times Cables.) LONDON, May 13. The entries for the amateur goll championship at St. Andrews, beginning 'on May 26, total 272 —a record. Michael Scott and L. M. McPherson, of Melbourne, L. H. Campbell, of Christchurch, Tolley, the present holder, and French, Canadian, South African and Indian representatives are among the entrants. LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP. LONDON. May 12. There are five Australian entrants in the ladies’ golf championship, but only two played in to-day’s preliminary rounds at Formby. The survivors in the second round include Misses Molly Gourlay and Joy Winn and Mi6S Glenna Collett, the American player. RUGBY LEAGUE. LONDON, May 12. In the final of the Rugby league championship, Huddersfield beat Leeds by 10 points to nil.
