STARR-BOWKETT SOCIETY.
Ballots for free of interest loans were held in groups 3 and 5 at a meeting. last evening of the Starr-Bowkett Building Society. The successful shareholders were Messrs H. J. AVoodroofe, Aslihurst, £SOO. No. 3 group; and Mrs K. A. Duff, £SOO, No. 5 group. At the conclusion of tho ordinary business the directors held a meeting, Mr J. B. Gerrand presiding. Loans for £SOO in No. 3 group and £SOO in No. 4 group were passed for payment. A loan for £SOO was approved and a loan by tender completed in No. 5 group. Two loans of £3OO each, ono by tender were completed in No. 6 group, and a loan for £6OO approved in No. 7 group. Loans for £SOO, No. 8 group, and £IOOO, No. 9 group, were approved. The 180 shares applied for since the previous meeting were allotted in the new No. 10 group. This group will actually commence on June 2. The shares are being freely applied for, it was reported.
