TE KAWAU RUGBY SUB-UNION. (From Our Own Correspondent.) SANDON, May 10. Tho ordinary monthly meeting of the Te Kawau Rugby Sub-Union was held on Thursday night. Mr H. J. Fagan presided ovvr a fair attendance. The Alanawatu Rugby District Council forwarded a circular letter stating that tho old kick into touch rule would be reverted to throughout New Zealand for the coming season. It was decided to further hold over nominations for the third grade competition. The secretary was authorised to procure footballs for schools requiring same. It was decided to give the medal donated by Mr Weston Smith to the captain of tiro winning school team in this year’s competition. . The school teachers suggested that, as a challenge cup had been given for school competition, the Penny Banner bo won outright in this season's competition. The suggestion was not accepted and the banner will still be considered as a challenge trophy. The secretary was directed to write ex : pressing tho sympathy of members with Marshall Aloffatt in his illnes6 and hopes for his early recovery. Additional names wore submitted by Huia, Rongotea, Oroua Downs and Awahuri Clubs and it was resolved that these be added to tho list of players.
