GENERAL FORECAST. An extensive anti-cyclono still covers tho Dominion. Pressure has fallen somewhat over Tasmania. Winds light and variable, south-easterly prevailing in the far north and westerlies about Foveaux Strati. Seas moderate in Foveaux Strait; elsewhere in New Zealand waters smooth. Light variable winds in tho Eastern Tasman Sea, later tending northerly and freshening; seas smooth to moderate. Weather stiTl fine generally, but some showers about Foveaux Strait. Seas moderate land. Prospects appear favourable for the week-end, but freshening northerly winds and increasing cloud may be expected by Sunday. DISTRICT REPORT. FINE DAYS. Tho Government meteorologist wired to-day: Tho indications aro for variablo and moderate breezes, later moderate northerly winds and freshening.
