FARMERS’ TOUR

METHODS IN AUSTRALIA. EIGHTY NEW ZEALANDERS. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) AUCKLAND, May 10. A comprehensive tour of Queensland, New South Wales and yictona has been arranged by the Railway Department for farmers of the Dominion. The tour, which will occupy four weeks, will commence at Sydney on June 20 on the arrival of the Aorangi from Auckland. Applications for the tour have been coming in rapidly, and it is expected that the maximum number of 80 will soon be booked. A large number of farmers from Canterbury will take part in tho tour, and they will be joined at Auckland by farmers from the various districts of the North Island. The tour is the first of its kind undertaken by New Zealand farmers and is a continuation of the policy of visits among the farmers of the Empire.
