On April 24 the Dominion president of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, Mr W. J. PolsOn, M.P., will leave for the South Island, where he intends to deliver a number of addresses on questions of the day, particularly those relating to the farming industry. Mr Poison’s tour will occupy approximately three weeks and the subjects he intends to discuss will include finance, cost of production, unemployment, taxation, land settlement and land taxation, derating of country land and the substitution of national taxation, Imperial preference and agricultural finance.
