DAIRY PRODUCE
LONDON MARKETS. STEADYING INFLUENCE. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) AUCKLAND, April 12. A steadying influence on the London dairy produce markets was disclosed in cablegrams received by Auckland merchants to-day. . One report statrt that no New Zealand butter is now selling at under 1225, and all advices indicate a firmer market at this figure. The cheese market is also firmer. Amalgamated Dairies, Ltd., received the following cablegram, dated Thursday.: “The butter market was active to-day. It closed firm, superfine bringing 1265. Nothing is now under 1225. Danish butter is 1335, f.o.b. Cheese, white 725, coloured 74s to 755. The market closed firm after large sales at 70s and upward. Joseph Nathan, Ltd., received the following cablegram: Butter, 1225; cheese, white 71s; coloured 73s to 745. Both markets are firmer.”
