The detectives inquiring into the Mudgee train hold-up formed certain conclusions, as the result of which they closely questioned the train crew upon these aspects. The detectiwos cannot understand why immediately after the bandits leaped from the train, the emergency brake was not applied, and further, how the robbers were not injured when jumping from a train travelling at least 28 miles an hour.
