FURTHER RAINFALL.
IMPROVEMENT AT TIRITEA. Sihce the weather conditions changed on Tuesday, the rainfall at Palmerston North has amounted to .72 inches, according to Mr T. R. Moore, of “Waimarama,” Terrace End.’ During the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. to-day there was a fall of seven points of rain. The barometer was stated to be steadily falling this morning. N To-day the level of the water in the reservoir was sixteen inches below the lip of the dam,-having improved four inches during the night. _ ' Squally weather conditions prevailed to-day, with scattered showers of rain.
