POHANGINA.
(From Our Own Correspondent). POHANGINA, April 10. On Monday night a meeting of the Pohangina School' Committee was held, a good attendance being presided over by the chairman, Mr T. Sinclair. After the usual business had been transacted, it was decided to hold a householders’ meeting in tho school next Monday evening. Mrs Stewart, of Kopane, takes charge as sole teacher of the school after the Easter vacation. Mr McMurry, of Palmerston North, iB relieving in the meantime. A very heavy thunder storm passed over the valley on Wednesday afternoon the accompanying rain being most welcome to the farming community.
