VALUELESS CHEQUE.
ACCUSED SENT TO PRISON. Per Press Association. ,• HAMILTON, April 10. Two years’ imprisonment with hard labour was imposed on Frederick Rusling, aged 36, when he appeared in the Hamilton Supreme Court to-day on a charge of issuing a valueless cheque for £7. It was stated that accused had a long list of previous convictions.
Mr Justice Smith remarked that, accused had been living a life of crime since 1924. As far back as 1917 there were convictions against liini. If he was again convicted he would be declared an habitual criminal.
