GENERAL FORECAST. The cyclone referred to yeatdrday is now crossing the Dominion, but is only shallow. Pressure is rather high over South-Eastern Australia. Winds northerly and moderate over most of the North Island, south of Auckland; elsewhere moderate to fresh southerlies and southerlies gradually becoming tener.al. Seas rather rough south of last Cape, but elsewhere smooth to moderate seas in the Eastern Tasman Sea. Weather cloudy and unsettled generally, with some rain in meet districts; mist or fog on parts of the East Coast; improving soon from the west and north. Cool temperatures. DISTRICT REPORT. MILD TEMPERATURES. The Government meteorologist wired to-day:—The indications are for moderate northerly winds. The weather appears likely to-be cloudy and unsettled. There will be mild temperatures.
