(From Our Own Correspondent). WOODVILLE, April 8. At the conclusion of the Kumeroa dog trials, the president" (Mr A. Ra ®, d n) thanked Mr Cranfield for the use of hia property for the trials. It was gratifying for the committee to see so many present, and all must agree that the trials were highly successful. The patron of. the club (Mr J. I. N. Woodville tried no fewer than eight bowlers, and it was not until Stanborough was put on( more as a last resort) that this bowler surprised everybody by . clean bowling Picard, and followed it up by disposing ot de Castro and Allen for nil. His average was three for ten. Dannevirke opened up poorly, but when Picard and Craven look the crease runs soon piled up.
