' CONTROL OF SUEZ. DEMANDS AT CONFERENCE ’ SAFEGUARDING QUESTION. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph-—Copyright.) Received April 8, 11.45 a.m. LONDON, April 7.; The negotiations between the British and Egyptian delegates were continued to-day. It is understood that Egypt’s demand for dual control of the Suez Canal involves Egyptian soldiers being side by side with British troops, but such a proposal has always been unacceptable to Britain. • ' Britain is likely to insist that the safeguarding the canal remain entirely in the hands of the British.
