AIR PAGEANT.
AUCKLAND CLUB’S MEETING. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) AUCKLAND, April 8. Preparations are well in hand for the Aero Club’s pageant, which will be held on Saturday next at the Mangere Aerodrome. Wing-Commander S. Grant-Dalton, Director of Air Services, has consented to act as judge at the pageant. He has announced that four Government aeroplanes will take part in the events. Four entries have been received for the New Zealand Herald inter-club event. The competing clubs and their representatives are as follow : -—Canterbury Aero Club, D. E. Grigg; Marlborough- Aero Club, Miss P. Bennett; Hawke’s Bay and East Coast Aero Club, D.vH. Newbegin; Auckland Aero Club, J. M. Firth. ’PLANES LEAVE LONGLANDS. . WILL COMPETE AT HAWERA. Per Press Association. HASTINGS, April 8. At ten o’clock this morning tour ’planes left the Longlands Aerodrome to participate in the Hawera pageant. They will fly first to Foxton, then back to Feilding, where they will stay tonight, proceeding to Hawera to-morrow morning. After the- Hawera pageant they will leave for the Auckland pageant.
