THE SCENE OF THE MOST TRAGIC LEVEL CROSSING ACCIDENT IN RECENT HISTORY OF NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS.—The crossing south of Hikurangi, where a bus conveying eleven people to Whangarei to attend the pictures, was struck by a special race train on Saturday evening. Six were killed or died from their injuries and the other fire were seriously injured. The bus was travelling in the sane direction as the car in the foreground, while the train approached the crossing from the left.
