SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

NOMINATIONS CLOSE. Nominations for the election of members of the Palmerston North School Committees at the householders’ annual meetings closed at 8 o’clock last night, and ballots will be necessary for four of the schools in this centre. Nominations for schools With a roll number under 240 do not close until the annual meeting, and Russell. Street and Milson School come under this rule. CENTRAL SCHOOL. COLLEGE STREET. Nineteen nominations have been received for. the College Street School Committee, two of the retiring members of which have declined to seek reelection. Two new members haye been proposed for the 'West End Committee. Nominations made are those of Messrs. C. H. Whitehead, G. Tremaine, A. N. Beattie, T. Downing, W. Schwabe, H. Healey, G. K. Hollier (present members), J. Warner find J. J. McKee. ' TERRACE end. No new nominations have been received for the Terrace End Committee and the present personnel will continue in office.
