EARL BALFOUR AND DOMINIONS.
W r ORK AT IMPERIAL CONFERENCE. The Earl of Balfour’s death has provided another interesting insight into British political thought. Not one tribute, including even that of Mr Baldwin, mentioned his great work at the 1926 Imperial Conference, which adopted the declaration of Dominion independence drafted by Lord Balfour, says a London correspondent. Perhaps it might still have goiie unmentioned had not Mr Amery, in a letter to the Times, pointed out the omission to recognise Lord, Balfour’s Empire work.
