YEAR’S LIST COMPILED. • OVER 2000 NAMES. This year 2085 residents of Palmerston North are liable to ; be called for service onttlie jury in the Supreme Court. Tire list was revised and confirmed at the court yesterday by Messrs. G. W. Ashworth and J. T. Brosworth, J.P.’s. • ■ Those liable for service as jurymen are men of good fame and ’character between the ages of 21 and 60'years. Tlie following are not qualified: (a) Anyone who is not a' natural born or a naturalised subject of His Majesty; (b) any person convicted of an infamous crime, or treason: (c) an undischarged bankrupt; (d) anyone of bad fame or repute. Exemptions from service include members of both Houses of Parliament, judges, clergymen, schoolmasters and inspectors of schools, barristers and solicitors, physicians, surgeons, dentists, Government officers, licensed pilots,' post and telegraph officials, members of army or navy, masters of ships, railway officials, and fire brigadesmen on production of a certificate. • .
