WIFE MURDER.
DEATH SENTENCE AT SYDNEY. SYDNEY, March 24. Sydney Solomon was to-day found guilty of murdering his wife, at Parramatta last December, and was sentenced to death. Though the jury made no recommendation to mercy, the prisoner’s case will be considered by the Executive Council. Solomon and his wife had been separated for some time. "Solomon went to his father-in-law’s hpme, and an altercation arose. A shot was heard, and the woman ran to the roadway screaming for help. The man followed and a volley of shots rang out, the woman collapsing with blood streaming from her head. Solomon made off, and was later captured by the police.
