THE PRICE MYSTERY.
INQUEST INTO TRAGEDY. DEFINITE DATE FIXED. The inquest into the death of Walter Edwin Price, the Palmerston North, builder who was found shot under strange circumstances in his home on March 5 last has been definitely fixed for 10 a.m. on ’April 4. Although the date for the commencement of the coronial inquiry into the mystery has been arranged, the detectives are still conducting their investigations and will continue to do so rmht up to the beginning of the mnuest in their efforts to obtain a satisfactory solution to the baffling features of the tragedy. > It is understood that ten or fifteen witnesses will be called, to give testimony, and both pathological and technical evidence will be submitted. Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., will be the Coroner. Although the gun from which the fatal shot was fired has not been found, there willvbe three possible verdicts —those of murder, suicide or an open finding.
