DUEL WITH POLICE
CAR THIEVES KILLED. ' YOUTHFUL DESPERADOES. INCIDENT AT BUFFALO. [(United Press Association.—By Electric Te legraph .—Copy right.) Received March 25, 8.55 a.m. VANCOUVER, March 23. Four car thieves at Buffalo were hilled to-day in a pistol duel with the police. One’ of the thieves, who were all under twenty years of ago, was identified as the slayer of a police officer a month ago. A fifth member of the gang was wounded .and taken to hospital, but ho escaped from the operating room via a drain pipe, leaving a trail of blood.
