GENERAL FORECAST. A depression on the Tasman Sea has developed cyclonic form, and is moving rather rapidly toward New Zealand. Moderate to strong northerly winds, increasing to gale force at places, veering to southerlies soon in the south, and later southerlies becoming general. Seas rather rough to rough generally in New Zealand waters. Strong northerly winds to gule, changing soon to southerlies in the Eastern Tasman Sea, with rough seas. Weather soon becoming unsettled, dull and misty with rain in most districts; some heavy falls in the (North Island and the eastern districts of the South Island, with thunder in places. Temperatures warm .at first, tut a cold change later. DISTRICT REPORT. COLDER TEMPERATURES.
