HORTICULTURAL SHOW

SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. From the point of view of the number of entries and the quality of the blooms, the autumn show of the Palmerston North Horticultural Society, held in tho Empire Hall on Saturday, was ail outstanding success, and much credit for the exhibition was due to the secretary (Mi' J. Galland) and an energetic committee. The entries totalled 610 and exhibitors came from Carnarvon, Foxton, Rongotea, Eketaliuna, Dannevirke, Paliiatua and "Waituna. A basket donated by Mrs W. M. Tapp was won by Mrs Hi T. Simmons, and a pumpkin donated by Mr H. N. Watson was won by Mrs H. G. Dawick (Awapuni).
