LONG FLIGHTS
AUCKLANDER’S VENTURE. WILL LEAVE TO-MORROW. ENGLISH LADY’S PLANS. (United Press Association—By Electric 'Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received March 11, 10.5 a.m. LONDON, March 10. Mr Charles Purnell Parkerson, tho Auckland airman, who is flying to New Zealand, was delayed in starting owing to the bad weather. He hopes to leave Lympno on March 12. Miss Johnson, who is interested in aviation, is at present endeavouring to find a British aircraft firm to sponsor her flight, to Australia. She has already received offers from American and German builders, but she hopes to get aid from her own people and to make a start in May. If successful, she will return by air. Miss Johnson plans to follow a course different from those taken by Captain Bert Hinkler and Mr F. C. Chichester.
