The rangers reported to the Kairanga Count” Council, to-day, that 65 head of wandering stock had been impounded during the past month. An assurance that he would seek a proclamation declaring Palmerston North a city as soon as the requisite population figures were reached was given by the Mayor at the Borough Council meeting, last evening, when mention was made of the growing figures.
