FATAL AVALANCHE

TRAGEDY IN ITALY. NUMBER DEAD AND MISSING. MANY CATTLE PERISH. ('United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received February 24, 10.5 a.m. ROME, Feb. 23. Thirteen are dead, five injured and seven missing, as a result of an avalanche, which was caused by a succession of heavy snowfalls, rolling down the Experano mountain. The avalanche overwhelmed forty houses in the hamlet of Di mozzo ; in the Bologne district. Soldiers and others are digging and searching in the ruins. Many cattle perished.
