Mr It. A. Noedl lias left for Dunedin to attend the Opticians’ Conference. Mr F. \V. Broughton, district land registrar of Canterbury, is retiring this month after 43 years’ service. Professor Peren, of Massey Agricultural College, has returned from a visit to Christchurch, where he attended a meeting of tlxe Academic Board of tlio University of New Zealand.
The Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, has not yet decided when lie will return to Wellington from Rotorua. In a telephonic communication to Wellington from Rotorua yesterday, Sir Joseph stated that he was feeling very well and was continuing to derive benefit from the treatment ne was receiving. He added that he had made no arrangements as yet regarding his return to headquarters.
