Another of tho popular week-end excursions has been arranged by tho Railway Department, viz., to Wellington and Palmerston North on Saturday, Ist March. See advertisement in to-day’s issue. To-night in tho Oddfellows’ Hall, Cuba' Street, tho Social Club will hold another of their popular euchre tourneys. Six good prizes will bo awarded to tho highest scorers, others having an opportunity of qualifying for the gold watch competition. Supper will be provided and, play commences at 8 o’clock sharp.
