ASSISTANT MASTERS
MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. Tiro fourth annual meeting of the Manawatu branch of the New Zealand Assistant Masters’ Association was held yesterday with a good attendance of members. An apology for absence was received from the retiring president, Mr W. J. Watts. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: —President, Mr D. Pryor; vice-presidents, Messrs Watts and Taylor; secretary, Mr T. Attwood ; committee, the above with Messrs Morine and Mountford. The following new members were welcomed and admitted to the branch: Messrs Sims, Silter and Bourke. On the motion of Mr Joblin, it was decided to place on record the thanks of the branch to Mr L. Morine for the capable manner in which he carried out the duties of secretary during the past two years. Following afternoon tea. an informal discussion took place on the cricket and swimming activities for the present season.
