Received September 4, 10.10 am. ' SYDNEY, Sept. 4. > A Moth ’plane crashed into a paddock near Cootamundra to-day and was wrecked. The occupants, Messrs Jeffreys and George, had remarkable escapes; they suffered only head injuries. When the ’plane appeared over tho town the airmen were seen waving frantically; it was obvious that they were in ‘trouble and wanted to land quickly. The machine had run out-of petrol. It struck tho ground with terrific force.
