BULLS.

(From Our Own Correspondent). BULLS, Sept. 3. As the result of complaints about alleged thefts at a local boarding house, tho police havo been busy in Bulls during tho last few days, and it is understood that an arrest has been made. Members of tho Bulls-Ohakea Sports Club paid a surprise visit to tho home of Mr W. E. Robbie early in the week, and presented him with a small token in fecognition of his activities in the interests pf the club, and took the opportunity of wishing him good luck in his new position in Wanganui. At the annual meeting of niembors of the Rangitikei Racing Club, hold on Friday night, regret was expressed at Mr Robbie’s departure also. Last week’s euchre and dance at Parcwanui, in aid of the funds of the Parewanui School, was well attended. Prize winners at cards were as follow: —Lady’s prize, Mrs Lovell; gentleman’s prize, My Alan Young; points prizes, Mrs Lovell and Mr Jack Holland. The points piizcs were kindly donated by Mrs W. Homes and Mr Lovell. This week the function will be hold in the Bulls Town Hall supper room, and there promises to be a good attendance.
