YOUNG CRACKSMEN
ACTIVITIES STOPPED. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Aug. 26. The criminal careers of four busy young Dunedin cracksmen were terminated tho other day by the detectives, and as a result the youths, Charles Walter Itamsay, James Ramsay, John David Caskie and Oliver John Keenan, appeared in the Police Court this morning and were dealt with on a lengthy list of charges of breaking and entering business premises and stealing sums of money ranging from 5s to £l9. There were eleven charges against Charles Ramsay, but the others were not so deeply implicated. All admitted the offences and were committed to the Supreme Court. Three of the accused, Keennan being excluded, pleaded guilty to a number of bag snatching offences committed last year and their cases were adjourned until after the Supreme Court sittings.
