A match was shot on the local range on Wednesday evening in the M.M.R.A. competitions, Bunnythorpe being too good for Awahuri, who showed a very sporting spirit and made the match ono of the most interesting for this season. On Friday, a progressive euchre evening carried out by the Anglican Ladies’ Guild was largely attended. Mrs Sinclair won the ladies’ prize and Mr J. Baker the men’s. Supper was provided. Quite a large staff of men is employed at tho Glaxo factory, getting everything in order for drying at the end of the month.
