WOMEN’S AIR RACE.
(Australian Press Association.) Received August 24, 10.5 a.m. NEW YORK, Aug. 23. Thirteen participants in the women’s Aerial Derby have reached Fortworth (Texas) for the overnight 6top, three having dropped out, due to accidents. One competitor was taken ill to-day at Fortworth.
The elapsed time lead went to Mrs Thaden. Miss Earliart was second by four minutes, Mrs O’Donnell was third, and Miss Nicholas was fourth.
