CENSURE MOTION DEFEATED.
FEDERAL GOVERNAIENT.
CANBERRA, Aug. 22. The censure motion against the Government was defeated by four votes after an all night sitting. Air Hughes, Air Mann and Air Stewart paired against the Government.
AIEAIBERS EXCLUDED FROAI PARTY. Received August 23, 9.35 a.m. CANBERRA, Aug. 23. The Prime Minister, Air S. Al. Bruce, announced to-day the practical exclusion from the Nationalist Party of Alessrs Hughes and Alann, both of whom opposed the Government in the censure motion. In future Messrs Hughes and Alann will not be permitted to attend the meetings of the Nationalist Party.
