FIRE AT COLYTON.
DWELLING DESTROYED. CHURCH HAS NARROW ESCAPE. Per Press Association. FEILDING, July 29. Bv a fire at Colyton at midnight on Saturday a large dwelling owned and occupied by Mr Thomas Ashworth was completely destroyed, and the English Church building on the next section had a narrow escape. The flames had actually reached the church,' and the contents were being removed when a change of wind saved it. The house that was destroyed had not been occupied for some days, the owner being away. The insurances are not available, the loss is heavy.
