WOODVILLE, July 27. Mr J. C. Bolton presided at a meeting of the general committee of the Woodville Agricultural and Pastoral Association. Betters were received from the Masterton and Feilding A. and P. Associations in regard to lambs for export, to bo judged in the Old Country. It was resolved to leave this matter to the schedule committee. The Jersey Breeders’ • Club also wrote, asking how the society proposed to handle the Jersey stock, more especially the C.O.R. stakes, at its one-day show. It was decided that tho letter be also referred to the schedule committee for attention -When revision is being carried out. A letter was roceived from Mr W. White, of Napier, acknowledging receipt of a cup from the Woodville Association, and extending his appreciation. Two sub-com-mittees were set- up, one a special committee for tho cattle section, and the other to revise the balance, of tho schedule. Tho former was appointed as follows: Mossrs C. B. Morgan, G. Peebles, B. C. Leach, M. Murray and T. A. B. Sinclair, the lattor comprising Messrs A. C. Curry, J. C. Bolton, G. Peebles, R. H. Morgan* and F, Bintchford. It was decided that the question of holding milking competitions bo dealt with by tho schedule cominitteo. Mr N, J. Gilbert was elected to tho vacancy on the committee caused by the election of Mr G. Peebles as vice-president, and Mr C. Armlatead is to be asked to fill the vacancy caused by tho retirement of Mr Arnold bunford, On Thursday evening a largo car onmo to grief at the Papatawa deviation.
