MOVE FOR DISARMAMENT. ANGLO-AMERICAN RELATIONS. (Australian Press Association —United Service.) WASHINGTON, June 10. Reports from London to the effect that Mr Ramsay MacDonald is to seek a personal conference with President Hoover on Anglo-American relations were received here as something of a surprise, but with approval from Senator Borah, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee. Although _no comment is forthcoming from White Houso, it is assumed that PresidentHoover will welcome an opportunity to discuss international relations with the British and Canadian Prime Ministers. Asserting that the greatest problem in the world is lifting the burden of armaments from the back of men, Senator Borah stated: “Close co-opera-tion between Mr MacDonald and President Hoover would give an exceptional assurance that progress would be made.”
